Mass transit adjusts schedules for Labor Day weekend travel throughout the city

Routine construction will be suspended this weekend on all MTA bridges and tunnels.

BROOKLYN - Residents should be aware of some mass transit service changes happening around the city this Labor Day weekend.

City buses and and subways will run on a Sunday schedule on Monday. The Church Avenue 2 train station will be closed Sunday night through Monday night.

For those thinking about getting away to Long Island this weekend, the Long Island Rail Road will also run on a Sunday schedule on Monday. There will however be 27 additional trains this afternoon from Manhattan.
