NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio has named his wife, Chirlane McCray, the chair of the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. 
    
Mayor de Blasio made the announcement on Thursday at the Osborne Association, a Bronx program that helps people who were incarcerated get back on their feet with life and job skills training.
    
McCray will head the nonprofit that uses donations from large companies and private donors to help fund organizations aimed at helping New York's environment, youth development and volunteerism.
