NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio has unveiled his most ambitious plan yet to make New York City more sustainable and affordable.

It's called OneNYC and it's an update to former Mayor Michael Bloomberg's PlaNYC.

Among his many goals with the initiative, de Blasio wants to reduce landfill waste by 2030, create 4.9 million jobs by 2040 and bring 800,000 people out of poverty by 2025.

He says environmental and economic sustainability must go hand in hand in order to raise the quality of life for all New Yorkers.
