BROOKLYN - Mayor Bloomberg welcomed the children of P.S. 195 back to school after their classes were canceled for a week after Hurricane Sandy.

Sandy flooded the school's basement, but officials say maintenance crews did a good job pumping the water out and getting the building ready for class.

Some schools will not be opened until Wednesday, and some students have been relocated to other schools for the time being.
