BROOKLYN - Mayor Michael Bloomberg made a stop in Brooklyn to test out the borough's first Select Bus Service.

The mayor caught a ride at Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush on the first weekday of the new B44 route, which promises a quicker trip between Sheepshead Bay and Williamsburg.

The line follows the normal B44 route on Nostrand, Bedford and Rogers avenues, but makes fewer stops. A special receipt is also needed to get on.

MTA workers say they're available to help commuters get adjusted to any changes.
