BROOKLYN - Mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner had a rough day on the campaign trail Wednesday after being caught on camera during an altercation in Brooklyn.

The video of his heated argument with a patron inside a Jewish bakery quickly went viral, but the Weiner campaign says the Democratic candidate was only standing up for himself.

Weiner is heard and seen in the video blowing up at the potential voter after he allegedly made negative comments about Weiner’s personal life and family, even referencing the ethnicity of his wife.

The former Congressman spoke about the confrontation after things cooled down. Weiner said that the man has the right to speak his mind about him, but he should expect a fight when it turns into an attack on his family.
