BROOKLYN - A coalition of parents, students and concerned residents met at borough hall today to discuss a report that may help the next mayor of New York City on a path to improving the school system.
The 2013 Education Roadmap is a report created after surveying schools throughout the five boroughs. Some suggestions in the report include less standardized testing, more college prep classes and using parents to create educational programs.
Organizers of A+ NYC, the group that organized today’s education summit, say each mayoral candidate has a copy of the report.
