Mayoral poll: Democrat Bill de Blasio has 71% of likely voters

A new poll conducted by Quinnipiac University shows Democrat Bill de Blasio has the support of 71 percent of likely voters in the mayoral race.

BROOKLYN - A new poll conducted by Quinnipiac University shows Democrat Bill de Blasio has the support of 71 percent of likely voters in the mayoral race.

The poll also revealed that 21 percent of voters say they would vote for the Republican nominee, Joe Lhota, and 11 percent say there is a good chance that they will change their mind by Election Day.

Independence party candidate Adolfo Carrion holds 2 percent of the intended voters.
