BROOKLYN - Residents are concerned about the numerous violent incidents that have occurred inside the McCarren Park and pool since the beginning of the summer.

Most recently, a 16-year-old required 28 stitches and four staples in his head after being attacked by a group of people on Friday night.

A representative for the Park Enforcement Officers in the city claims the McCarren Park and its pool are understaffed.

Police say they have always had an ample amount of officers in the area and the number of patrols at the pool has increased.

The Parks Department says anyone who violates the rules loses their right to use the pool.
