Medgar Evers College eyes closing street to create green space

CROWN HEIGHTS - Officials at Medgar Evers College in Crown Heights are proposing closing part of a street that passes through campus to create a green space.

Officials want to close Crown Street between Bedford and Franklin avenues.

They say the green space would provide a little getaway for students and residents in the middle of the borough.

Some residents are opposing the idea, saying it would cause traffic issues and decrease already difficult-to-find street parking.
