BROOKLYN - A medical examiner has determined that a murder victim was asphyxiated before she was burned on Gerritsen Beach.

Shaniesha Forbes, 14, disappeared from her home on January 4. Her burned body was found two days later in Gerritsen Beach.

Police have still not made an arrest in the case.
