BROOKLYN - Parents and students have the opportunity today to voice their opinions to the Department of Education (DOE) over its decision to phase out Sheepshead Bay High School.

The DOE wants to phase out the school due to low performance and the lack of capacity to improve in order to support student needs.

According to officials, the phase-out process would begin next fall if the move is approved.

A public hearing will be held tonight at Sheepshead Bay High School on Avenue X at 6 p.m.
