GREENPOINT - A baker in Greenpoint is creating a buzz now that her online pastry business has started to boom.

Melissa Torres has owned and operated the custom bakery from her home and out of a local restaurant for the last four years.

Her cakes gained popularity fast and were soon noticed by Vogue Magazine who asked her to contribute to their 120th anniversary issue.

Torres says there is no limit to her creativity when it comes to baked goods. She hopes her online business grows to a storefront shop in the Greenpoint area sometime in the future.
