Men charged in death of BK detective due in court

BROOKLYN - The group of men accused of killing an NYPD detective in Brooklyn will be in court today for a pretrial hearing.

Lamont Pride, Kevin Santos, Ariel Tejada, Michael Velez and Nelson Morales are all charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Peter Figoski in Cypress Hills last December.

Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Pat Lynch says the suspects should not be offered any plea deals.
