BROOKLYN - Methodist Hospital is weighing a proposal to expand in Park Slope.

The medical center wants to construct a new building along 8th Avenue and 5th and 6th streets due to an increase in patients.

The plan would demolish more than a dozen existing brownstones in the area, which are owned by the hospital.

Some neighbors are open minded about the expansion, but others are not on board and don't want to see residents displaced.
