NEW YORK - Do you ever fall asleep on the subway? Now there's an app for that.

The MetroNap app is designed to prevent subway snoozers from missing their stops because it can detect if the train is moving, and alert people when it’s almost their turn to get off.

Many Brooklyn straphangers say they'd give the app a try, but others said it was their own responsibility to stay awake on their commute.

The app is one of the submissions for the AT&T App Quest contest, but is only available for Android. The contest winner will be announced next week.
