Police: BK man wanted for hotel murders in custody

NEW YORK - The man who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend and two of her daughters to death in a Staten Island hotel is now in police custody.

Police had been searching for Michael Sykes, of Brownville, since Wednesday after a camera caught him on the Staten Island ferry.

They believe he killed 26-year-old Rebecca Cutler, their 5-month-old daughter and Cutler's 1-year-old daughter.

Cutler's 2-year-old daughter was also stabbed and brought to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say Sykes was found near 31st Street in Queens.
