BROOKLYN - Ten men and women from all five branches of the U.S. military received their citizenship status during a special ceremony today.

The ceremony was attended by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and held aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle. Service members, some of which call Brooklyn home, walked on the deck with pride as they received their citizenship certificates.

Napolitano applauded the work of the crew and says she is proud to have attended a special moment in their lives.
