CYPRESS HILLS - Funeral services were held today for the Brooklyn native fatally shot by police earlier this month in Washington, D.C.

Miriam Carey was shot and killed by DC police after they say she tried to ram her car into the White House gates, then led police on a chase to the Capitol.

Relatives say Carey had been diagnosed with postpartum depression and psychosis after having her daughter. The 1-year-old girl was in the car with her, but was not hurt. She is now in her father's custody. Carey's sisters have called for an investigation into the police's use of force.

Carey's funeral was at the Grace Funeral Chapels in Cypress Hills.
