Mom says child mistakenly given H1N1 vaccine

BAY RIDGE - A Bay Ridge mother is livid after she says her son's school gave him the H1N1 vaccine without her consent.

Tashema Addison says the assistant principal of P.S. 231 called her Wednesday to say a nurse accidentally gave her 9-year-old son, Shakim Addison, the vaccine.

"They need to search a little more when giving these kids the vaccine so mistakes like this don't happen," says Tashema Addison. "You don't know the kid's medical history or the side effect that can happen."
