BROOKLYN - A mother and her two daughters were injured in a fire that tore through their Borough Park home.

Officials say the flames broke out at around 11 p.m. Friday at the 60th Street home.

Family friends say the woman, who is in her 50s, and the twin 12-year-old girls were unconscious when they were pulled from the burning home. They also say the father was working overnight when the fire occurred.

Police say the victims were transported to Jacobi and Richmond University medical centers in serious but stable condition. All three are expected to survive.

News 12 is told one of the victims suffered from smoke inhalation and is being given oxygen for breathing assistance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the FDNY says that it does not appear to be suspicious.
