BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn mother has been arrested and charged after leading police on a wild goose chase trying to find her baby.

Police say Naomi Vialva, 17, called them this morning claiming she accidentally left her baby in a cab.

But, Vialva showed up drunk with the baby at the home she shares with her mother in East New York. Her mother brought the baby to her friend's home to have her watch him while Vialva sobered up.

Police say Vialva is charged with filing a false report and acting in a matter injurious to a child. Both are misdemeanors.
