BROOKLYN - Police say a young mother and her boyfriend were killed after a shooting today in Sheepshead Bay.

Investigators say shots rang out early this morning near the Sheepshead-Nostrand housing complex on Avenue W. According to family members, Crystal Melody Sweet, 22, and Timothy Watson, 26, were fatally shot as they walked home from a party.

Police say a 30-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was also shot. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

According to Sweet's mother, she had worked as a home health aide and leaves behind a 5-year-old daughter.

Authorities say no arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation.
