BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn mother says the new pediatric center at Brooklyn Hospital Center helped save the life of her newborn.

The child, Jahmari Williams, was born four months early and weighed only 12 ounces. His mother, Samantha Williams, says Jahmari would not have survived were it not for the round-the-clock care he received.

An extension to the unit will open later this month.
