SHEEPSHEAD BAY - A 19-year-old mother has been charged in the death of her 2-year-old son, who police say was murdered last week.

Police responded to a 911 call at around 4:35 a.m. last Thursday at 2242 Bragg Ave. in Sheepshead Bay, where they found 2-year-old Jayden Smith vomiting and having difficulty breathing. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital in critical condition. He was later taken to Maimonides Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The medical examiner determined the boy died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen with lacerations.

Neighbors say Jayden has a twin sister, who's now in the care of child services.
