BROOKLYN - The mother of a 5-year-old caught in the crossfire of a gun battle is asking witnesses to come forward.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the Sunday shooting in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Syniah Herndon was playing outside her home when she was shot in the leg during the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
