MTA construction project shuts down BK subway stations

PROSPECT PARK - Brooklyn travelers will have to deal with a more complicated commute now that the Culver Viaduct Rehabilitation Project began today.

Due to construction, the Manhattan-bound F and Queens-bound G subway lines will not run at the 15th Street Prospect Park station and the Hamilton Parkway station. There will be no Manhattan-bound F service at the Smith Street and 9th Street stations. All Manhattan-bound and Queens-bound trains will stop at the express track at the Church Street and 7th Avenue stations.

Also, at the 4th Avenue and 9th Street station, the Manhattan-bound F and Queens-bound G trains will stop at a temporary platform.

MTA officials say the project, and subsequent service changes, will continue until fall 2012.
