BROOKLYN - The subways and buses were back on a normal schedule in time for the start of the work week following a massive blizzard that clobbered the northeast.

MTA crews worked around the clock to restore any service that was disrupted during the snowstorm Friday into Saturday. Transportation officials say they were prepared for the inclement weather, and there weren't any major problems.

Drivers also had an easier commuter compared to Friday. Sanitation workers feverishly cleared all city streets over the weekend, and alternate side parking rules are suspended through Wednesday to help facilitate further cleanup.
