BROOKLYN - The MTA is taking a close look at what commuters think of the city's transit system since it took a hard hit from Superstorm Sandy.

According to a customer satisfaction survey, 76 percent of subway riders and 74 percent of bus riders report they've remained satisfied or very satisfied with service, despite serious disruptions stemming from the storm.

Sandy completely flooded many subway stations and tunnels, causing billions of dollars in damage. Those problems were later followed by a fare and toll hike.

The survey was conducted in June, and includes subways, buses, the Long Island Railroad, the Metro-North, and MTA bridges and tunnels.
