BROOKYLN - A mural unveiled in Bay Ridge today honors the nation's veterans and servicemen and women.

The colorful tribute is located at the Fort Hamilton High School athletic field. It was painted over several weeks by the nonprofit group Groundswell, along with help from local volunteers.

The mural aims to serve as a symbol of the bravery shown by the nation's armed forces, as well as a reminder of how the Bay Ridge community strives to honor its heroes.
