BROOKLYN - A new Bushwick mural is sparking dialogue about reproductive health.

A group of young women came up with the idea this past spring during an after school research session. The mural, located on Ridgewood Place, depicts an older woman guiding a young girl through the "gateway of womanhood."

The artists say it should remind residents of our shared responsibility to mentor and support young women in our communities.
