Museum exhibit marks Green-Wood Cemetery's 175th anniversary

BROOKLYN - The Museum of the City of New York is helping Green-Wood Cemetery celebrate its 175th anniversary with a new exhibit.

“A Beautiful Way to Go” features a full-size sculpture of a Civil War soldier, landscape paintings and Victorian-era clothing used for mourning a loved one.

Visitors will also find many stories of notable people buried at New York’s largest cemetery.

The exhibit will run through Oct. 13.
