Musical to premiere at Greenwood Cemetery

BROOKLYN - A new musical, 'The Spoon River Projects,' will be holding its premiere tomorrow evening at Brooklyn's Greenwood Cemetery.

Previews were held yesterday, giving the audience a look at the musical about the fictional town of Spoon River performed among the tombstones and monuments in the cemetery. Lisa Alpert, the show's co-producer, says they picked the location as the play brings the cemetery's rich history to life. "Greenwood is all about stories and all about lives," said Alpert.

The Spoon River Projects will run as a nightly performance through June 25.
