A number of Muslim leaders say they are planning to boycott Mayor Michael Bloomberg's interfaith breakfast because of claims that the NYPD has been spying

BROOKLYN - A number of Muslim leaders say they are planning to boycott Mayor Michael Bloomberg's interfaith breakfast because of claims that the NYPD has been spying on law-abiding members of the Muslim community.

The NYPD says that it is only following leads in terrorist-related investigations and the allegations of wholesale spying on Muslims is false.

The leaders, however, call the activities unconstitutional and unwarranted.
