New 25-acre sports complex in BK has something to offer everyone

BROOKLYN - Two full-sized ice skating rinks, a field house, health club and sports bar are just a few of the amenities at the new 25-acre sports complex in Brooklyn.

The Aviator Sports and Recreation Center was built at Floyd Bennett Field. The entire complex was created while maintaining the original structure of hangar five. The facility offers training classes for residents looking to learn a sport. It also has the state-of-the-art equipment suitable for professional athletes to train.

Managers of the complex say it is one of the largest in the northeast. Parts of the complex are still not open to the public while finishing touches are put in place. The entire complex will officially open by December.
