BROOKLYN - The Brooklyn Cat Cafe has opened its doors after months of anticipation.

The cafe lets people pay to spend time there with cats.

It costs customers $5 per half-hour.

Residents tell News 12 the cats are more than just cute snuggle buddies, they're emotional support and a calming presence.
