New information released in sexual assault cases

PARK SLOPE - Police are releasing more information about one of the three suspects wanted in a string of attempted sexual assaults in Park Slope and Sunset Park.

Investigators have released an image of what they believe is the jacket worn by the person behind the first attack on March 20. Surveillance video shows the suspect trying to sexually assault a 24-year-old woman, who was able to break free and run away.

Police have increased security in the two neighborhoods - where at least 10 incidents have been reported since March - and posted sketches of the suspects throughout the areas. Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
