WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Students at Warren Hills Regional High School in New Jersey returned to class for their first day of class since the death of a classmate on Friday.

Evan Murray, quarterback of the Warren Hills football team, died Friday night after being injured during a game. The Morris County medical examiner says Murray died from a lacerated spleen.

He was the only child of Thomas and Kelly Murray.

A memorial outside the school's stadium continues to grow with flowers, messages and candles for the 17-year-old. Several of Murray's classmates set up a GoFundMe page, which already has over $40,000, to raise money for his family.
