New parking regulations in effect for Brooklyn neighborhoods

BROOKLYN - New parking regulations begin today in Sunset Park and Greenwood Heights providing a break for drivers in those areas.The city's Department of Transportation has reduced alternate side parking from two days a week to one. The parking rules were changed in the area because the neighborhoods met the city's standard for cleanliness.Around 2,400 signs were installed in the area to let residents know about the new restrictions.
