New parking rules take effect in Sunset Park, Greenwood Heights

BROOKLYN - New alternate side parking regulations are giving drivers a break in Sunset Park and Greenwood Heights.

Street cleanings have been reduced from twice to just once a week after the neighborhoods met city standards for cleanliness.

About 2,400 signs were installed between 15th and 65th streets, and 4th and Hamilton avenues to reflect the changes.

Although the rules are now in effect, they won't be enforced until next Monday, Aug. 13.
