New school bus routes begin for Brooklyn, city students

BROOKLYN - Changes to school bus routes in Brooklyn and the city take effect Monday. The changes affect bus stop location, drop-off and pickup times. The city's Department of Education consolidated some routes because fewer students were taking the buses. Officials say they sent letters out to parents about the changes. Parents who did not sign up their child for transportation will have to find another way to get students to class. Anyone with questions can call the transportation hotline at 718-482-3700.
