New traffic light in Williamsburg was 20 years in the making

WILLIAMSBURG - After a more than 20-year fight with the Department of Transportation, residents in Williamsburg are cheering the installation of a new traffic light.

The light was installed at the intersection of Woodpoint Road and Withers Street about one week ago.

Tish and Guido Cianciotta say they have been fighting for the light to be installed since 1990 when their city councilman at the time wrote a letter on their behalf.
