BROOKLYN - The new visitor center at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is being called a garden in the sky and soon all visitors will be able to see it. "The green roof at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden new visitors' center helps limit what is called the urban heat island effect - white roofs bounce the heat back up and create an umbrella over the city and make it hotter than otherwise," says Scot Medbury, of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The new center opens to the public next week.
