NEW YORK - New York's major league baseball teams are staying strong, hitting double wins Tuesday night.

The Yankees were up against Tampa Bay at the stadium. Ivan Nova put on a great performance and Raul Ibanez claimed two home runs to put the pinstripes on top, 5-3.

The Mets were on the road against the Phillies and trailing 4-0 until Kirk Nieuwenhuis comes home with a tying run. David Wright later scores the go-ahead run for 7-4 win.
