BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn man who spent 25 years in prison for a crime he did not commit is now suing New York, according to the New York Post.

Derrick Deacon, 58, was acquitted last November. He was granted a new trial in 2012 after the FBI identified a different man who was responsible for a 1989 murder in Flatbush.

Deacon is reportedly suing the state for $25 million.
