BROOKLYN - New York State Sen. Chuck Schumer is blasting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for a policy change that will allow small knives on airplanes.

Schumer says that allowing pocket knives and other previously banned sports items, such as golf clubs and hockey sticks, puts passengers and flight crew members in danger.

The unions that represent flight attendants, pilots and federal air marshals are also against the plan, which is set to take effect April 25.
