Hundreds of New Yorkers ditched their keys and Metro Cards to travel on just two wheels today as part of National Bike to Work Day.

BROOKLYN - Hundreds of New Yorkers ditched their keys and Metro Cards to travel on just two wheels today as part of National Bike to Work Day.

According to the group Transportation Alternatives, the day shows how significant cycling has become in the city, with some 200,000 commuting by bike each day.

The annual initiative promotes riding for health and the environment.
