PROSPECT HEIGHTS - News 12 got an up-close look at the progress being made to the apartment building being constructed for the Atlantic Yards.

The construction site is 2 miles away from where the building will eventually be erected and become the tallest modular in the world.

The 363 rental units that will make up the 32-story residential building are being built at the Navy Yard by Forest City Ratner Companies. Workers are piecing together frames of bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, as well as sheet rock and towel racks before sending them to the building site at Dean and Flatbush avenues.

The building is set to be opened by December 2014. Half of the apartments are being set aside for affordable income residents.
