BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn teacher accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student will not face jail time.

The Kings County District Attorney's Office says Erin Sayar pleaded guilty Thursday to rape in the third degree in exchange for 10 years of probation. She also signed an agreement to give up her teaching license.

Sayar had worked at James Madison High School, and admitted to a sexual relationship with the teenager, who she was tutoring.

Sayar's sex-offender status will be determined when she's sentenced on Aug. 1.
