COBBLE HILL - New ‘no parking’ signs are causing a stir at the Trader Joe’s in Cobble Hill.

The Department of Transportation posted signs in front of the store on Court Street stating no standing between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., including Sundays. The DOT says the signs are meant to keep drivers from double parking and clogging the traffic-congested area.

The DOT adds that keeping the spaces open will create a safer place for pedestrians, bicyclists and other drivers.
